Slab
These poured concrete foundations are the cheapest of the three choices, but by far the most simple. They resemble a patio or cement pad, and are created in about the same way. Our crew begins the process by grading the area around your home or business, and then digging down two to three feet. This hole is then filled with gravel and covered in a plastic sheet, which helps seal the area and keeps moisture from seeping into the surrounding cement. A plastic sheet is also laid over the bottom to help keep water from flooding inside the home. After this has been completed and forms have been installed, we'll pour the foundation in three pieces. First, we'll take care of any beams, followed by the walls, and finally the floor. A steel plate is ran through all three pieces to help strengthen the structure and keep any water from soaking through! |
